Collection of drivers needed to install (or downgrade to) Windows XP SP3 on HP G60-235DX laptop:
- Intel Chipset, (install and reboot before other drivers) » here
- Intel Matrix Storage Manager » here
- MS-UAA (required with a reboot before Audio and Graphic driver) » here
- Intel Graphic 4500M » here
- Conexant HD Audio » here
- Conexant HD AUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP Driver » here
- Synaptics Touchpad » here
- if you have Atheros Wireless driver » here, or if it does not work try » here
- if you have Intel Wireless » here
- Realtek USB 2.0 Card reader » here
- Realtek RTL8101E Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC Driver » here
- .NET Framework (required before HP Quick Lunch Buttons) » here
- HP Quick Launch Buttons » here
- If you have Unknown Devices (buttons drivers) » here (Installation –> right click machine.inf, choose install)
Notes:
- You need WinRAR to extract some of the files, so make sure you have it installed.
- Before you begin the installation, you need to slipstream the SATA AHCI drivers (only ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller) with nLite. The instructions on how to do it are here.
- Please note that you’ll see a black screen for about 1-2 minutes while the Windows XP setup files are loading. This is probably an issue with the new 16:9 displays.
- Audio and Modem driver must be installed using Device Manager, by manually specifying the location of the of the driver’s INF file and forcing it to install, although XP will give you a warning that you are not using the correct drivers.

Thanks,
Everything worked great, except the built-in mic doesn’t record sound. The Line-In mic works fine. Any suggestions anyone of how to get the built-in mic to work? Thanks!
